One of the decisions taken at our first Zone Advisory meeting was that activities like Church Services and installation of officers be held jointly as a Zone.
The first such initiative took lace on August 30, 201 when the five lions and two Leo clubs celebrated mass in the pristine community of Fond St Jacques, Soufriere. The service was held at the Fond St Jacques RC Church and was officiated by the Arch Bishop.
Following the church service the Castries lions accompanied by the other lions and leos made a hamper donation to an orphanage in Soufriere. The residents of the home were happy to receive the gift.
The Lions and leos then went to the BeAcon Restaurant to partake of a sumptuous meal and to socialize.
Although attendance was not what was expected, for a first initiative the activity was a success. Looking forward to more joint service and social activities within the Zone.
