The Outgoing President of the Lions Club of Castries - Lion Lyndell Gustave highlighted the club's achievements for the last lionistic year and thanked the Board of Directors and members for their hard work and support during that year.
The Incoming President Lion Avis Burch-Smith also thanked the members for the confidence placed in her to lead the club during this lionistic year. She highlighted her theme for the year as
COMMITTED SERVICE, GROWTH AND ACTION
- Committed Service: We need to see members keep their promise to participate in most, if not all activities and projects;
- Growth : The Club must definitely make an effort to grow if we want to be an active and vibrant Lions Club of Castries. More members with potential or known qualities of leadership must be found. I must add that younger persons must also be identified or we shall fast become a “Geriatric Brigade” more fit for a home for the Aged rather than a vibrant community leadership organization
- Action: As a community oriented Club we must seek to find new areas of services with original innovative ideas coming from our membership.
