INTERNATIONAL LEO DAY MESSAGE

DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S LION CLAUDIUS (Tony) BUNCAMPER MESSAGE WORLD LEO DAY 2012

My fellow Lions and Leos,

Today December 5th 2012, is celebrated all over the world as World Leo day and we in District 60 B have much to celebrate and be proud of.
When we look at how the Leo movement is progressing in the district we can proudly say that we're succeeding in getting our message across to the youngsters in the Caribbean as their joining the movement. We have been able to get many Lions clubs motivated to reactivate the Leos in their area and we have also been booking great success with attracting new Leos into the fold. The establishment of the new Leo club in St. Vincent is a good sign as formation of new clubs is a rare event these days in our district.
The work of the Leo clubs must not go unnoticed as many clubs have been doing great work throughout all the islands. The birth of LEO TV has given us all an additional outlet to bring our message of youth empowerment to the forefront where it belongs.
The dialogues that LEOS are having with various institutions, governments and financial supporters are a sign of great progress among the LEOS and are something that must be supported and nurtured.
Our LEOS are the future of the LIONS movement and all are aware of such but don't always act as such thus not positively contributing to the development of this movement. We must as Lions work with our Alpha and Omega Leos as if they were our own kids and want the best for them not us. Let’s make this day and the rest of the fiscal year the best time they’ve ever had as Leos as we move into the season of giving.
I wish every Lion, Leo and supporter of the movement a great LEO DAY.
God bless you all
AS WE CONTINUE TO STILL BELIEVE IN A WORLD OF SERVICE
