Sunday June 22, the Lions of Castries embarked on the usual monthly feeding of the destitute. However this Sunday was extraordinary as we got assistance from a young lion in training. The President nephew joined in the activity all decked in he yellow t-shirt to match that of the lions. We were also graced with the presence of a member of the Saint Lucia Red Cross Society who mistook the feeding Sunday and so had to join us. But the highlight of the day was the welcome back to our young patrons and the musical interlude by an indigenous artist from Mexico who not only played his music but the instrument was from his indigenous native. It is occasions like these that make being a lion the wonderful experience that it is.
