VISIT TO CORNER STONE HALF WAY HOME

CASTRIES LIONS VISIT CORNER STONE

On Saturday April 21, 2012 the members of the Lions club of Castries as part of their community Services activity visited the Corner Stone Half Way Home.  The home is a place of refuge for the homeless around the City of Castries.    The Lions presented the management with some needed toiletries and served a light supper to the residents.  The lions spent time with the residents who shared their daily life experiences.  The highlight of the visit was the presentation in song by a once popular calypsonian who sang one of his popular hits "Don't Smoke Dope".  He used his skill and presented an ex-tempo piece.   The residents  had high praise for the Administrator Mrs Juliette Brathwaite and indicated that it was always welcoming for the Lions to visit them.  A BIG LIONS ROAR LIONS CLUB OF CASTRIES
