To
mark the official close of diabetes awareness month the Saint Lucia
Diabetic and Hypertensive Association partnered with a number of
organizations - Lions club of Castries, Ministry of Health, Super J
supermarket, Lady Gordon Opportunity Center, Peter and Company and many
others to host a Health Fair in the William Peer Boulevard. High blood
Pressure and Sugar were tested as well as education was provided by the many professionals on hand. The Blood Bank was also available soliciting persons to donate blood.
The fair which lasted from 9 am to 4 pm saw hundreds of citizens coming
to get tested, to sample the healthy food and snacks available as well
as enjoying the demonstration by the students of the Lady Gordon
Opportunity Center.
