On Saturday October 18, the Lions of Castries joined the Castries
Leos in their continued observation of Breast Cancer Awareness month at
their Save the Tats Cake Sale. The cup cakes were decorated to share
the message. The package consisted of cup cakes, literature on breast
cancer, information on the Leo Club and a Bookmark. The Lions were to
show their decorative skills by decorating a bra for the cause.
Although the lions fell short on decorating skills the small presentation was well received. The activities continue with the Leos Wear Pink Wednesdays and the Lions Wear pink Fridays. Breast Cancer Awareness month activities culminate with our participation in the Super J Yoplait Walk on November 2. Lions and Leos will not only participate in the walk but volunteer at registration, water stops and at the end of the race.
