To culminate activities in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Lions and Leos of Castries joined with Super J supermarkets to host the Super J.Yoplait walk on Sunday November 2.
The Lions and Leos served at the registration desk (at the commencement of the walk), water stop and distribution of items and prizes at the end of the race. A number of Lions and Leos also participated in the walk. The highlight of the activity this year was the activity by the Wave Radio Station – Men in Heels to bring awareness to cancer in men. The men dresses up in their three to five inch heels competed in a short obstacle race.
The Lions and Leos of Castries are proud of the successful activities hosted for the month of October in raising awareness of Breast Cancer and Cancer in men. Some of these activities included – distribution of educational literature (brochures etc.), Save the Tatas cake sale and exhibition, Wear pink Wednesdays and Fridays and participation in the Super J,Yoplait walk.
