LIONS PAINT SPEED-BUMPS

The members of the Lions Club of Castries in partnership with the Ministry of Communications, Works, Transport and Public Utilities  and the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College  on Saturday August 14, 2010 embarked on the annual speed-bump painting.
The speed-bumps and crossings on the roads that surround the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College were painted in time for the commencement of the school year on August  16, 2010.  The objective is to enhance road safety in the college environment as students will be encouraged to use the crossings and the speed-bumps will  facilitate the reduction of vehicular seed on the compound.

SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE FOR NEW LIONISTIC YEAR

On Sunday August 09, 2010 the members of the Lions Club of Castries, as is customary,  celebrated service at the St Benedict Center, Morne fortune to seek spiritual guidance for the Club for the lionistic year 2010/2011.  Members were allowed to participate in the service by joining in the offertory procession.   At the end of the service the Lion President was given an opportunity to inform the congregation on the objects of the Club and to provide an insight into work that the Lions Club  has been undertaking in our Community. The service was very uplifting which was followed by a sumptuous breakfast.
