LIONS OBSERVE WORLD CANCER DAY - 2012
WORLD CANCER DAY - FEBRUARY 04, 2012
In observance of International World Cancer Day, the members of the Lions Club of Castries assisted the Cancer support group Faces of Cancer Saint Lucia in their public awareness campaign. Faces of Cancer is a support group formed to change whatever defeatist attitude cancer patients may have. The groups has been helping cancer patients see the disease as a challenge and to help them demystify it by helping them know about it rather than cowering with fear. The lions spent time selling items and distributing paraphernalia to members of the public.
