ANNUAL CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Lions Club of Castries assisted by the Leos held its annual Christmas party in the Community of Babonneau. This year participants were drawn from five infant and primary schools in the community - Babonneau, Fond Assaux, Debarras, Bogis and Laguerre. The students were treated to face painting, eats and drinks, and engaged in song and dance. This year a new feature was added and each school presented a cultural piece depicting the Christmas theme. A unique piece was performed in creole. The highlight of the party was the appearance of Santa who engaged the students in song and dance. Each Child was presented with a gift by Santa. Our thanks go to the many corporate sponsors, individuals, Lions and Leos who contributed and participated in making this event the success that it was. We take this opportunity to wish all a spirit filled Christmas and a prosperous 2013.
