MONTHLY FEEDING
Sunday June 22, the Lions of Castries embarked on the usual monthly feeding of the destitute. However this Sunday was extraordinary as we got assistance from a young lion in training. The President nephew joined in the activity all decked in he yellow t-shirt to match that of the lions. We were also graced with the presence of a member of the Saint Lucia Red Cross Society who mistook the feeding Sunday and so had to join us. But the highlight of the day was the welcome back to our young patrons and the musical interlude by an indigenous artist from Mexico who not only played his music but the instrument was from his indigenous native. It is occasions like these that make being a lion the wonderful experience that it is.

CASTRIES LIONS IN SERVICE THROUGH THE YEARS
Today marks the Charter
Anniversary of the Lions Club of Castries, when Lionism was first introduced in
Saint Lucia. As we reflect on those 47
years are we as proud of what we are as when we were first chartered or when we
first joined the movement.
Let us continue to be
the proud lions that we know we can be, enjoying service.
Let us accept the
challenge of the International President Elect and show our worth as one of the
PRIDE.
Let us be proud of our
achievement and be boastful not of our achievement but of our organization and
share the joys with someone else.
This year "Each
one Ask one" will help us be boastful about our organization and
STRENGTHEN THE PRIDE as we have been challenged to do.
