The Members of the Lions Club of Castries joined the St Lucia Blind Welfare Association on this rainy Saturday morning in a fun walk for SIGHT.
The objective of the walk was for sighted persons to spend some time walking in the life of a blind. It required that one person wore a blindfold and was led on the walk by a sighted person.
For those persons who walk with the blindfold the experience was one that they would never have imagined. It gave them an opportunity to rely on the other senses and the heard and smelt things they had never before along a route that was very familiar.
